It has long been fine to add Amazon product ads to pages with Adsense but what about their new "Self-Optimising Links" (currently in Beta). These are clearly easier to use from a maintenance point of view as they remain up to-date at all times but they appear to be contextual. Has anyone asked G about these yet or have any thoughts on the matter?
I doubt it will be a "war" - more like a totally one sided skirmish. If G says "no" then I can't see many people using them in preference to Adsense ads. If that does prove to be the case I think most people will just stick to the old Amazon "Product Ads" which work quite well in tandem with Adsense. I have sent an email to G - when I get their reply I will post it here. I was just hoping that someone might already have the answer as its a "long weekend" and i was hoping to post the new ads NOW if it's allowed rather than wait until Tuesday for their reply.
i sent them email about something, and now it's the 3rd day, still not getting any reply, i bet they fully optimize their weekend ..
Well this thread seems to be the biggest flop since the 1970 Engand World Cup Squad's abysmal pop song ... however for anyone that IS interested I got the reply from Google today. Amazons new "product Ads" are NOT allowed with adsense ads as they deem they are contextual ... pretty obvious I guess but worth knowing for sure
