Curious as to how many of you Amazon Associates are caught up in this? In short, Amazon experienced a computer glitch and some people who selected direct deposit were not paid. It gets interesting. Amazon has been giving wildly varying answers as to what is wrong and when it will get fixed, on to what even went wrong to begin with: Payments were initially mis-processed as gift certificates, but upon correcting that the system would not allow payments to be reprocessed - so Amazon coders had to essentially create the code to perform that. Amazon simply doesn't know. They processed payments and have no idea where the money went, or when it will be back. Amazon has fixed the problem and it will be about ten days before payments are made. (Why ten days if it has been fixed?) Anybody else caught up in this with information to share? This thing is worse than iran contra.
Are you affected by this? I am an Amazon USA and Amazon UK affiliate and got both my monthly payments fine. Who are others affected by this and where did you get the info from?
I am affected by this. The second bullet is the answer I got, the other two were posted on the amazon discussion boards.
I too just contacted Amazon as my Amazon UK direct deposit was not received. I have emailed them and still waiting 2 days on. In contract, my Amazon US cheque (dispatched the same time) has arrived, deposited and cleared in my account.
