Amazon: Your Account Has Been Closed...

I do not order that much from amazon.
I have not used the associate program since 2/15
I just stopped, and removed all sites, with having
any issues that I was aware of...

So I was shocked to log back into my account
just to find my account has been closed...
which is another meaning for banned....

I guess I am out of amazon without any reason
why, or given any chance to correct issues....

    Any Amazon Alternatives?

Have you tried Ebay? AliExpress? I also just found out about SkimLinks, Not sure of them though..... need more info. Just do a google search and check out all the options available and what will work best for you.

    Good Luck to You

I do not see the point really...

People should not have to worry or have
to look over their shoulder at all times...

It seems like the only thing power players
do is just simply ban, and move on to the next ban...

I certainly do not feel that I intentionally
    did anything wrong....

So I go to another affiliate and being banned
will always be on my mind....

update: I heard back from amazon. They said that I did not fill out some
mandatory coppa, and as a result they closed my account. They went on to
say that I would be able to create a new account....

I was under the impression concerning their TOS that
you are not allowed to have multiple accounts. Would it just
not be easier to re-active the account then do what they require?

Either way, no matter what affiliate program you are using...
It is a scary thought to log into just to find out your account is closed.

If Account A is closed, then they tell me to sign
up again using account B. Even though one account
was closed, in a way, Account A+B= Multiple accounts..

When I signup again using Account B, would amazon not
flag me since I previously had AccountA (which was closed?)
maybe they have something that shows them that the
account was closed in good standing, and eligible to re-apply..

I have certainly heard horror stories of accounts being closed,
and never again allowed to re-apply ever again. This was my
initial shock was legit, because I knew I did nothing wrong...

    I dunno...

Amazon will also close your account if you don't have any sales through their associate program for 6 months. It has happened to me recently. I stopped having their ads on a site because I got better results with other affiliate ads and then got an email a little over 6 months later along with an explanation and a statement that I can reapply if I wanted.

I have had this account for years. It was only in 2014
that I started using it, then in 2015 it was closed because
I did not fill something out that was mandatory, but when I stopped
using amazon, I started ignoring all their emails as I was
not using them anymore, and half emails went to spam anyway.

however, if that is the case, then I will simply not signup again
until I am actually ready to use the affiliate id in my stores.

    What affiliate programs are better?
At the very least I can give it some consideration...

Wow, I never got that message myself. I wonder if it is sent to certain members like locations or something. OR, maybe I filled that part out. I never really used it that much because it wasn't making it worth my time.

I just check my email again and I was wrong in my previous message, it's if it doesn't get any referrals/sales in a 90 day period and not 6 months like I stated. I haven't tried to reapply since it wasn't making enough money before and other options are working way better now.

Thanks for the heads-up, i'll keep this in mind if I decide to try them again. :)
