Hi all I have an uk, us and jp amazon account I also want de and fr Trouble is, how can you sign up and use your account if you don't speak that language? I think Amazon are really letting themselves down here. If they just had one scheme I would use it far more widely. Does anyone know a way of signing up for foreign amazon accounts, when you can't read the form to sign up with? I could translate it field by field, but that would take forever, and I would have to do it every time I logged in How do you all manage? Thanks in advance
I have an account everywhere except for amazon.fr. Signing up is the only really hard part. All of the sign up/login forms have the same general format, so just signup alongside a copy of the sign up form of a language you speak. Translating to make sure is a good idea. After you have signed up logging in shouldnt require any translating if you are just checking your statistics. Just scroll down and look at the numbers. All of these pages have the same general format.
I got Google to translate the page for me, if I remember correctly. Babelfish does the same too. Other than that it's just as kdb003 says it.
I signed up for all of them. If you do the english ones (us, uk, ca) and then do the foreign languages right after you can remember which fields are which. They are exactly the same on all the international Amazon sites. You must know Japanese?? That was the hardest one for me. I can figure out German and French but Japanese was very hard for me (I finally did get through it though). I do have to agree with you that Amazon should have one sign up for all international sites.
If you have international sales and doing well with Amazon, you would do well by joining the worldwide affiliate program for AcclaimSubscriptions.com -- one program to join pays commissions on worldwide sales to over 250,000 magazines, journals, newspapers and newletters. No competition really.
Because people in Germany, France, Japan, Canada and the UK want to buy from their country specific site.
well I signed up, but doesn't look that promising. France wouldn't let me. Canada will pay by cheque (which costs more to cash than i'll get - can't seem to change the min payout) - only Germany seems vaguely worthwhile. Amazon are slipping behind by not having a decent worldwide system. Lets hope they reorganise themselves before I find something better
does anyone have the links to the sign up pages for japan, germany, and France? I would appreciate it, thanks.
