Hello, This is my first post. The problem/question is: Two months ago my amazon account made 20 sales in one month. My server was Hostpapa and it just happened that my account was permanently suspended (different story, Hostpapa stole my money) and was not active for a month while everything was moved to Hostgator server. Now it's been more than a month of fully operational sites and zero sales in amazon. Is this normal? How can I fix this situation? Thank you.
Try on many way to get money from Amazon. Ex. aStore , Blogger , Pligg , Wordpress , AOM , SMF etc. Don't use 1 web for 1 million dollars.
I have 10 mydomain blogs and each one of them is having 5 posts a day. Each blog is sending each post to 60 social bookmarking and networking sites. ( different accounts for each blog )
Most of your traffic was from SEO then? Google will take some time to trust your site again if it was down for a month. Keep building links and promoting your site, eventually you will get back in (providing your not doing autoposting or other spammy stuff).
I did badly in Amazon affiliate. I am trying to change the design of my video games site a little. Will check back in a month time.
better to boost your SEO for more traffic ti your site so that you have more opportunity to get selling from your site...
Yeah, Google has then noted that your site was down and not accessible. Google is all about providing good content and a good experience to their users. Sending people to a site which is down, is not what Google counts as good practice. So they naturally move you further down in their lists and rankings. But over time, proving that you are stable and reliable, offering more of the good content which brought you up there to start with, you will be back, eventually. So swallow the pride, and learn the lesson that's it's important to choose a reliable host, because not only will it cost you money if they're down, it will also cost you reputation in the Google rankings and that can be just as bad or even worse then losing a few bucks for hosting. Always choose a reliable and known host, they are almost just as cheap, or close to being just as cheap as all the worthless little, unknown, no name companies out there. Treat your websites with the respect they deserve, after all, it's a business.
I have never made much on Amazon. I never really tried to make it though since the commissions were so poor. I guess if I had more time to devote to it I could probably to better. There is only so much time in the day and since other affiliate sites pay better, I tend to spend more time with them.
I have had a similar situation with Google not trusting a site because the host went down for a couple of days. After all the hard work of getting rankings, a bad webhost destroyed it all... frustrating.
