Can anyone tell me, if I promote amazon products and someone clicks on my link to amazon.com and that person is based in the UK and switch over to amazon.co.uk do I still get credit for the sale (when they purchase).
Thats what I thought. Would it then be better to have 2 affiliate links on the page, and send US visitors to amazon.com and UK visitors to amazon.co.uk
it will be best if you can set a forwarding script to send your visitor to us or uk based or IP and or location
If you're on Wordpress, you can use the Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer plug-in. If your visitor is visiting from the UK they'll get a link to Amazon.co.uk, if they're visiting from the US they'll get a link to the same product on Amazon.com.
Nice tip on the Geo Location plugin. This has always frustrated me that Amazon don't provide a solution. But the fact is both accounts are completely separate. The same goes for accounts on Amazon.it, amazon.de, amazon.fr etc.
whether we should be with the plugin has an two accounts? at amazon.com and amazon.co.uk? please reply
