I have a new blog where I review certain home electronics. I just started showing on the first page of Google.ca for a fairly competitive keyword phrase. Of course, these products are not available in Canada - at least not through Amazon.com. So, I was wondering what the rest of you guys, using Amazon affiliate links, do with International traffic. Is it just a waste? I'm also getting traffic from Google.lt and .ie where ever those are. And, what if I start getting traffic from the UK? Any help is appreciated.
How about offering magazine subscriptions with worldwide shipping and commissions for every topic/interest. See Acclaim Subscriptions for details.
Well, that may be an option, but I'm mainly wondering about the high ticket items I'm trying to promote. I want to know how people deal with International traffic and Amazon.com. Do you sign up for Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk then have to put two different links, or two different versions of the website, or what. I guess Canada is out as Amazon.ca simply doesn't sell what I'm promoting.
you can use geo-target script to send visitors to the country related offer for .ca just find a retailer in canada and put links from that one
Hi, when visiting your magazines sites i cant seem to see more than a handful of magazines for a category, is the site displaying only a limited amount?
The website does not display all the publications in public view. Of those that are being displayed on the public site, only a small portion is assigned to categories at this point -- but we are working on building up the categories with more relevant titles. All publications can be found via search. Let me know if you need more assistance with signing up or promoting magazine subscriptions
