AMAZON SUCKS and is screwing their affiliates big time!

A month or so ago I purchased several Amazon shops from
an old time user, and she came up with all the right screen
shots, from Amazon sales so I was absolutely sure I am getting
    a great deal.

Nothing could be further from the truth however. I only have 1
sale in my Amazon's affiliate center even though I get daily sales
    - some days 3 or 4 and other days up to 8 or 12 from the various
    sites.

I contacted Amazon and asked what is wrong and how could this be
that I only have 1 registered sale from the 1st day that I placed my
associate ID in there and Amazon replied with their copied and pasted
answer that I'll copy for you here:

And I wasn't pleased at all with the answer, so I wrote back and sent
to them all of the sales receipts I am getting daily - saying that this
simply cannot be - the explanations given to me in their answer could
be so for 1 or 2 sales but not daily and for ALL of these sales.

That they do not care that our sales get stolen since they are still
making sales and make profit, so who cares for the ripped off affiliates??
Here is a copy of my 2nd email to them and their reply, which obviously
sucks even more in my eyes.

With posting my own experience with the Amazon affiliate system
I hope people will be aware of the fact that Amazon does NOT CARE
even a bit for us - their affiliates (the suckers) - promoting their stuff!
Amazon gets paid either way, but we - that get our sales stolen can't
do anything at all. I lost money and quite a bit too to only find out why
in the 1st place the other affiliate sold these to me. She was making
about $500 to $700 and sent such a cheque every 2 months. She told
me that the cheques would have been easily twice and three times as much
was it not that many of her sales got stolen as well by Blackhatters.

Good luck people and I wish that I had never bought these sites or
getting such an experience with being an Amazon affiliate - lost money
    and time anyway.

Did you check the affiliate link for every page of each of your four sites?

There could be many different links throughout the site. When I first started building my sites freehand almost every page of my sites had a different associate ID to track sales....I was up to almost 80 at one point

Did you write the seller and question her about the drop off in sales?

Sounds to me there are old associate ID links on the site and the seller is collecting the referrals without notifying you of such.

This would also explain why Amazon sees nothing wrong.

I made over 50 sales this month on various associate IDs so the system works fine from my end. The other day I had a 13 sales from one customer.....1300% conversion ratio was weird lol....

Hope it helps resolve your issues.

    Hi Sem-Advance

The shops are AOM - all of them and the ID which is placed in the admin of AOM
automatically covers every link of the site. And the old - original account was changed
right away after I got the sites, or how otherwise would I have gotten the 1st and only
    sale from the 1st day?

The original owner told me she cut her losses by selling all of her sites of Amazon,
and Good Luck to me in trying to catch the thieves... And yes, I complained fairly
late with her about the issue, and paid of course with PayPal. She did not do anything
wrong, in her opinion, as she simply doesn't want to deal with Amazon no more.
How convinient, just when Amazon also cutted the use of PPC traffic for US shops,
she might have gotten the news about it earlier than most other affiliates that got the letter
in regards but a few days ago??

Whatever, I lost big time, trust me, as I paid over $2800 for these shops, thinking
that I could make easily more earnings than she did. I should have paid more attention
to the fact that she is selling such great sites, PR, traffic and sales - perfect everything.
She did not mention to me however that the sales are even more than in reflecting in her
account, what she did say when I complained - 3 weeks later.

And I hope for you Sem-Advance that Blackhatters will not start stealing your sales
with their methods, soon, when they catch the numbers of sales yours sites are making...

I was getting her numbers of traffic OK ed146 - as I said already - old sites
established, PR and good traffic. Plus I purchased PPC as well as she was doing...

Did you go back into each of your AOM panels and double check your IDs?

did you make sure the settings were saved correctly??

When you upgraded to the new version did you check to be sure the code was set to yours and not amazons???

I think by default with each new upgrade, unless you do the upgrade correctly, or if you do a fresh install.... it may / will revert back to amazons original associate code.

If a blackhatter were to steal my associates ID the referral would still go to my account ;)

Jeez Sem-Advance, I checked and Amazon checked and
    all is with my ID!!!
The sites are with 100.000 pages by the way, and the original
owner showed me her account - is CLOSED! so she is not cheating
me here. She did indeed closed her ID and account with Amazon

By the way - no one is going to steal your ID,
this is not what I meant, they simply push their
coockies in a new yet uncovered way by Amazon
and as I said - good luck that your sites will not
end up as the useless once of mine

I don't see how amazon could log into your AOM admin panel and check.

You should log into each and check yourself..perhaps it was hacked ...I've got no clue just trying to help you.....

but I do know one thing......

I just got another sale in between these posts..that's 3 for today and my sites only have 20 pages for most...

No, I obviously did not give Amazon my login to my
AOM panels, however they did verify that all of my sites
carry my own ID, as I asked them if this was the case,
suspecting as you mentioned earlier that maybe the
    original owner was cheating somehow...

And of course I did each and every day login and check
since NON of the sales that I was receiving was on my
AMAZON aff. center. And today again - I have 9 sales
and am pretty sure that tomorrow NON of these will be
in the Amazon aff. center of mine.

    Good luck anyway

I am not trying to blame the seller for anything, it sounds like she is out of it completely.

Do you have the combined reports box checked when you log into Amazon?

I know an easy way to resolve the issue if you want to PM me. I think it best to keep it private if someone is watching you.
