I want to start a Amazon Affiliate website but I am confused on choosing either a Amazon Store script or a product review blog based on Wordpress. I want to sell movies DVD from Amazon.
A product review blog would be a lot better since you have the option to update its content. Using a store script will just make your site a duplicate of what amazon is offering and which is prone to duplicate content penalty by search engine. I have used a store script and I also have product review blogs which performs better.
I agree. I would go with the product review blog. You can get more unique content in the review site.
Product review site should be better. If you are a busy guy and would looking for a turnkey solution, Astore script may fit your needs.
Wordpress or blogger is very useful for no money. And you will have fresh content everyday as you post.
If you use the Fresh Associate store script, you can edit all content and put your own text in the product descriptions. This is the best of both worlds - high conversions from the store style site and high traffic from the unique content.
I am also interested in your script and still waiting for it release! Can you advise the exact relase date? I can't wait lol Also, are there sample site which running your script can show to us.
There is a plugin for Wordpress that I have just discovered that works pretty nicely with Amazon... WPZON
Release date is very soon. We are designing a new site and putting together documentation etc. If you can't wait for release then visit www.freshassociate.com/apply-beta/ - you can get the script now and also get over 40% off (and unlimited sites) for helping us out with testing. Examples sites www . shop-kids-toys . com and www . goshopgolf . co . uk
The shops created by your script look good, nice templates, just one suggestion: Trash the filter options that aren't useful. "Director" is fine for DVDs, but not for plush teddys. The toy shop has cryptical stuff like "Maximum Focal Length", "Material Type Set Element3"...while some of the stuff the product feed delivers is useful, most of it only kinda confuses the visitor. Will there be a version without own cart? It's cool, but from my experience it's similar to aStores: If you don't send the visitors to Amazon with one click, you see less sales.
Thanks for the feedback Scripter, it is a very good point with the attributes. The admin area allows you to "hide" attributes from the product filter and add your own attributes to it, but by default any attributes from amazon are automatically enabled. This means that when something new comes along, like "Material Type Set Element3", it shows straight on the site. I will be changing this in the next release so by default they are off. You can fully customise the design so you can put "Buy From Amazon" links instead of add to cart links. I will build this into the admin area if it is a popular request. Why do you think it is better to send them straight to Amazon and not use the in store checkout?
Yes, his script look good. I have reviewed a lot of astore script out there already and his script seems is one of the best astore script. Hope can release asap.
Thank you for the feedback We will be launching as soon as I get a new design for the site and possibly a new name... watch this space! You can actually get the script now if your willing to help test - you get it at a reduced price also.
I am busy on current job right now, so can't be a beta tester. Will purchase your script immediately when its released. Hope will have some launch discount at that moment.
How this script works? I am confuse. I have no knowledge in any programming How this thing going to associate with amazon? mind to share? Thanks in advance.
You choose a niche (e.g. exercise bikes) and then use the script to make an Amazon store. When people visit your store and then buy from Amazon, you make commission (between 5% and 10%). The script lets you pick products, add categories, add content and allows you to make the store look exactly as you want. Because you can add unique content, you will get good search engine traffic. You don't need to know anything about programming.
I would use fresh store builder. It is a really great script and if you are new to amazon. Send me a pm. I can help you setup fresh store builder and give you tips. I have been using it since it was in beta. You can pm me or send me a msg on msn. Good Luck
I have made a store that have product review/articles built in together. Here is one if the site that I made : http://www.gundamonlinestore.com plus its fully 100% automated. All the products and articles/review are imported automatically.
