Amazon Store Duplicate Penalty Question

    Hello,

I've been suffering from Google Duplicate Penalty Lately. Now I've renewed my Amazon store and I'm building unique content linking to relevant Amazon pages. By the way Google is also indexing the Amazon Product Pages.

My Question is will I suffer from duplicate penalty again although I have unique content as well. Will Google take the Duplicate Pages from the index only or will the unique pages be affected as well?

Should I use a robot.txt file to avoid Google indexing my store or should I let it go?

You don't have anything to worry about when it comes to duplicate content unless your store is an exact duplicate of another without modification. I actually wrote an article about Search Engine Optimization for Amazon Web Services. Read what I put in there, and you'll do just fine. I have a site orderitontheweb.com that has well over a quarter of a million pages indexed in Google, and no issues in regards to dup content. Don't use a robot.txt at all unless you are using it to direct the location of a sitemap ;)

If you found my article helpful, then you'll probably enjoy my Amazon Associate video tutorials.

    Hope this post helps.

Currently there are many script that copy the astore and put the adsense code on it front page and detail page.

I don't know this is against TOS of amazon astore or not:confused:

    Yep, there is a penalty.

My product reviews are pulled from a unique database in my server. Going to suck write reviews for ~1k products :D. Great I now have another interesting idea in mind..

    Thank You PureWebDev,

I know about your site it's great. If I don't have to worry about the duplicate content because of the Amazon content it's okay to go on.
