Hey all, im having some trouble understanding the amazon reports. This is probably simple for most of you but would really appriciate any help you can give me. Yesterday i bought a product through my own affiliate link. It's not that i was trying to save money on a product, rather to test that my affiliate link actually worked more than anything else. I waited until today to check it and see it the reports had processed my purchase. As it stands, i have got 1 under my Orders Summary. However when i look at Earnings Summary it still says that my total earnings this month are still £0.00. Now i'm left completely confused as to whether or not my affiliate link worked or not. If it did work then why does it still say that there isn't anything under total earnings? I checked that the item hasn't been dispatched yet either so i'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. Hopefully 1 of you smart cookies can help me out and perhaps let me know if im doing anything wrong? Thanks in advance.
Earnings reports only show once the item has been paid for and dispatched. pre-orders thus can take weeks to show. Self orders should not show at all if their system catches them in time, or may be removed when they run a deeper scan.
Like Vagrant said it will appear in Earning report after the product is shipped. Also you are not supposed to use your own affiliate links.
Thank you for the replies. Least i know that it's probably not my affiliate links being wrong. And i won't purchase through my own links any more, although it was soley just to see if the link worked. Thanks again!
Amazon may put the product you bought into the "earnings report" temporarily, but they will remove it when they detect it is a personal order. You only got the money credited in the earnings report when the item has been dispatched. You can also get a negative earning in your earnings report, if the item is returned.
