    hey
I have got approved from amazon but i had a question.most of the products that i want to post on my site are cost from $1 to $40 only.if this were going to sell then what would be my profit.please advice how it works.
I have seen here in forums 3% from the product rate that means for a $1 product i will get 3 cents.
Is it correct or is their anyway to increase comissions on amazon ?

Avarage commission rate is 4%-7%. More sales - more commision rate.

You can sell $3000-$4000 products - HDTVs, Gibson guitars, etc. For $4000 product you will get $160. So, good luck)

For your own sake please dont promote products at $1-$40. Seriously, you'd be better off concentrating on Clickbank or something else. I would NEVER promote a product that cost less than $100, and I usually try to promote products that are over $150.

Contrary to what people think, it's NOT harder to promote more expensive products - you really only have to do the same amount of work. There are plenty of people with money who want to buy expensive stuff.

never promote products worth less than $100 dollars as you will not make good money, go for more expensive products

It is hard when you first start promoting Amazon products because of the commission structure. I would suggest you mix the products up - promote anything you fancy just to push to 7%. Always nice to start from somewhere.

    Good luck

Only promote really cheap products if you can sell hundreds per day, otherwise take the advice of the other here and promote more expensive items, otherwise you will be working for next to nothing.

You point is valid concerning promoting big tickets items, but there's also low prices items that sell... I guess it depends on the volume.

Typically a product at $20+ that is hot and selling like wild fire, will stil bring you very decent rewards. It's all about product research...know what your selling, know what people need, do your research.

zhu zhu hamsters are like $10 each, a friend promoting the same product followng the same system I use made a lot of money seling them last year....why? Because they were a hot product and he done his research.

Diversify, don't sell cheap items for majority of your sites, but also throw in a mix of high ticket item. Promoting expensive items is as easy as promoting cheap items

Amazon starts at 4% and goes all the way up to 8.5%. The trick to maximize is to sell a high number of products at a high price. How to do this?

Basically, you got to sell a number of low priced products as they would sell in volumes and thus earch a higher payout slab (so once you sell 7 products you are paid 6% rather than 4%, and as the number of sales increase your payout also increases).

Now, you target high priced items. Since your number of sales is already high, you get a high commission for the high priced items too.

The overall result is a great total profit.

Sell mixture of low and high priced items. The lower priced items will bump you up to the higher commission bracket.
