Amazon Latest - Affiliate + adsense - ecommerce solution - Custom Coded

Right then, down to business....

www.amazonlatest.com is what I like to call, an automated, affiliated, ecommerce, news portal. It's a custom coded script that I've designed myself, so you won't find anything like this anywhere else.

The site spiders news from amazon categories and brings them into the site. The site uses RSS feeds from Amazon to update it's content.

It's basically a quick and easy way for people to see what's new and what's popular on amazon.

How does the site make money?

The site makes money in a number of ways.

1) Amazon Affiliation - When someone clicks on a product and follows a link to the amazon page and purchases a product, you get commision for each purchase.

2) Google Adsense - There are adsense ad's that are put in optimized positions on the website. Adsense automatically crawls content on the page, so if a user is looking in the xbox 360 sub category, adsense will automatically search for advertisers trying to draw in attention to those products. It's more than likely the viewer is interested and you'll go on to earn money from adsense.

There is an admin control panel where categories can be added/edit/deleted. There is also the ability to add more RSS feeds from amazon itself. Instructions on how to add more products from amazon is included, it's very simple to do.

Users can create an account and comment on different products.

Users have the ability to search for products.

The site is a great resource for people who want a site which is hassle-free, but also want a site they can earn good money from, which people will be interested in coming back to.

Technical stuff..

The site uses a cronjob to automatically update the results, or you can simply execute the cron.php file in your browser to update the entries. The site works on PHP with MySQL as the database backend.

Please note: You do not have the right to reuse the code on the site to create more sites alike and redistribute. However you do have the right to sell the actual site like i'm doing here, if you wish.

How much maintenence does the site need?

The site needs zero maintence, once it's setup it runs itself and you just sit back and enjoy the commisions.

How much is the site currently earning?

The site is too new to say how much it is earning. No promotion has been done whatsover, that's your job.

This site could also work great in conjuction with a current site you own.
