Actually my sites typically focus on Niches and I use PPC & SEO to drive traffic to my sites to drive sales build brand and long term rankings. I don't use blogs for e-commerce so to say...I build out 10 to 20 page sites with a blog as a separate folder..pulls in long tail terms. Looking in flyer's for high interest products would work better perhaps with mall type sites.... If it was me I would start building a site now for next Valentines Day.... If I was doing things through a blog I think you need to start a month in advance....perhaps when you see the local stores starting to stock the holiday items that is when you should start your marketing and then you need to stop marketing when you can no longer have items delivered in time. So if you wanted to work on a Niche next ones in the US are Mothers Day.... Fathers Day.... & then graduation from Schools.... Brilliant !!!!! Now we just need a URL to use if you have a good one let us know!!
Great thread. Rep Given. These are the types of valuable tips that will make us all better marketers.
Well November and December, the first months I put effort into building / converting to Amazon based sites I made over $200.00 each month.....last month and this month are up about 15% over those numbers... just the tip of the iceberg though really...
Very interesting tip! Thanks for the good idea. Just curious if you can provide an example of one of your sites?
Welcome to all and yes you can see one here http://www.textbookretail.com/ Still working on the categories ......
Yes those are Amazon customer reviews. I use the script in my sig link, that allows you to build a very SEO friendly site and which allows you to pull in the customer reviews. It also allows you to decide which of the rated reviews you want to use, so I typically only pull those reviews with 3 or higher stars Hope this helps.....
Well I don't know that it's sneaky as Amazon likes the AOM script and they make things available to associates to use such as product review widgets... So in essence it is using the tools that Amazon supplies to drive more sales. My way of keeping it simple
