    Hi everyone

I had a lot of people thank me for Amazon Hot Tip 1 and I found another hot tip for everyone that I hope will help with keyword research for both SEO and Paid Marketing.

The tip I found and use is via Tags from Amazon buyers!

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/tagging/cloud/ref=tag_cld_cl_icld_sm?ie=UTF8&length=250

Using the page above you can see which keywords are the most popular with Amazon customers.

You can use the tags to do keyword research, build blogs around, add pages of content to your site or build a niche site that focuses on the tag and related terms.

This will help to focus your SEO or Paid Advertising implementations so you can drive more traffic, and more sales, which means more commission!!!

    Hope this helps!!!
    :)

This is only for what people are tagging items for... not for what is most popular.

Still good for keyword ideas, but as far as finding out most popular vs least popular, it's not an effective tool.

Hmm well looks good to me.

    1080p - 11,503 customers

    DVD - 22,923 customers

The larger the tag the more popular and the darker tags equal those used most recent.

Clicking on any of the tags takes you a page of related products where you will find individual products that have been tagged

These tags tells us which products are most popular ....hence the items one would want to target for driving customers and sales. :D

According to the very top of that page:

"Welcome to the Amazon.com tag cloud. Tags are labels customers can use to classify a product. More frequently used tags are larger and more recently used tags will appear darker."

It has nothing to do with purchasing popularity... it's all about what people want to tag items with...

Like i said, it's still good for finding keyword ideas... but larger and darker do not mean more popular among buyers.

Tags are labels customers can use

buyers and customers are one in the same usually.....

I doubt a large amount of non-buyers are sitting on Amazon tagging things....

    :)

Great tip, I agree, although not directly reflecting purchased products it does give a good proxy of what people are searching for and thinking about, which should give you a clue as to what to promote or use in your Amazon campaigns.

It's useful information, but you'd be surprised how many people spend time tagging and posting to discussion boards on amazon without making any purchases.

Sorry... you seem kind of hurt, but the way you were portraying it wasn't completely accurate, and I didn't want people thinking simply because it's bold and large, that it's for sure a good niche. (I know you and I wouldnt do that, but believe me, people would.)

Anyhow, an Amazon customer, as long as they've purchased 1 item on Amazon before, their tags show up in public.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=16238571

That link is all about Amazon tags, and Amazon's recommended usage... as stated by myself and others in this post, there could be a lot more reasons why people are tagging other than an item they purchased.

Like i said, it's a good tool for brainstorming, but the way you were portraying it wasn't completely accurate...

Ohh no lol ......the only way you can hurt me is to be a rock in the dirt which when I flipped my quad... I hit with my butt and which made it swell to a basketball size on my arse cheek.....that hurt!!

Wasn't meant to portray anything other than an idea for people to use as additional research or to use to do more research on a niche.

Correct however a good part would be due to what is at the forefront of what is on peoples minds...... for instance you don't see any tags for Halloween Costumes but in September you might.;)

I don't feel I was trying to portray it as an accuracy measure....just general help for others who struggle with picking the wrong things to try and market.

No hurt felt though.... so its all good......:)

I use tags regularly but even more often I use the bestseller lists (and must admit that I wonder why people buy these things(-:).

very good tip and i will tell you why.

there is no need to believe amazon tags and then go build a website but they are good starting point for a keyword research.
you take the keywords from this page and then do your usual KW research to find which ones are good for developement

and YES. this is only tags but why would 11k people tag with the same tag if it's not popular and if it's popular then ppl are looking for it; and if they are looking for it then some of them are interested in buying some of these products.

now if you don't think that popular tags are good idea to research then you better think again. have phun :)
