Does anyone know if Amazon actually allows e-mail marketing or not? What is their official policy regarding this?

I'm not sure. I would also like to know this.

Personally, I don't think they care how you promote your site.

Is it dangerous to market my blog like this? I mean, it could be considered spamming...
Can it do some damage to the blog?

There has been a number of confusions regarding Amazon's policy on email marketing. One way to be sure you are on the right side is to check their site and read the Associate policy statement.

With my Amazon stores I capture email addresses on a newsletter. I then send them hot products, some product tips, reduced products etc. on a regular basis...

    Very good money earner :)

Are we allowed to use direct links to the products to our newsletters, aside from AStores?
