Hi there New to the forum. Does anyone know how someone would get access to data and insights on Amazon? Things like the most searched terms, most sold items, most popular categories, least viewed listings etc. To put it into context, I am working on a Beer, Wine and Spirits report and I need to do a piece on Amazon—Something like Q4 2022 sales Vs. Q3 would be perfect, but really, anything interesting and useful would do. Is this something that Amazon freely publishes? Or do we have to pay for it? A college of mine believes that Marketing Agencies can get access to this, is this true? Any support would be appreciated. Thanks
Amazon provides some data and insights on their website for sellers, but they may not provide all the information that you are looking for. To access more detailed data, you may need to use third-party tools or services, which may come at a cost. Marketing agencies may have access to these tools or services, but it depends on their specific agreements and partnerships.
You can get some info like the best selling items in a category Amazon.com Best Sellers: The most popular items on Amazon For quarterly financial figures you'd have to look at their annual filings and P&L statements. You might find something here Amazon.com, Inc. - Annual reports, proxies and shareholder letters (aboutamazon.com) Last resort, you could contact them for this info.
