I am a newbie to affiliate marketing, just trying to get started & living in Colorado, and the news comes on last night that Amazon.com is stopping it's associate marketing in Colorado because of new tax laws that were recently passed here. These laws make Amazon (or whoever) tax & collect the tax for the gov't. on all internet transactions. Amazon says it will support any laws which do not violate the Constitution, but these laws do violate, so they are shutting it down here in Colorado. What the heck is going on and are any other Affiliate programs going to follow Amazon's lead??
This would REALLY suck if others did follow because it could be tied up in court for years.

I'd heard that Colorado was changing the law. That's bad news about Amazon. Other affiliates will likely follow suit. I hope other states and cities don't do this.
