Amazon Clicks

Hi, I have a few Amazon products advertised on my site, however I still have had no clicks. I even asked a user who stated that they were interested in one of the products to click and have a look (he did not buy), however still the admin site says that I have had no clicks.

I have uploaded a picture of the product (from amazon) to my website and changed the src path so that it points to the image on my server (provided by Amazon). Could this be classed as tampering with the URL and could this be why I have had no clicks.

    Thanks for any advice.

Hello W, I would suggest using text links instead of pictures because links converts better than pictures in my opinion.. I have seen a lot of sales going on this month through text links for me and I will also say make sure your product is related to the content on your website.. Try using this method with at least 3 products and see will it work.. Hope this helps..

Regarding the clicks: They are delayed one day in the stats if you are looking
    in your account at amazon.

Thank you both for replying quickily. Does anyone know if uploading a copy of the picture to a server and then modifying the javascript (to display the picture) is classed as tampering?

    Thanks

It does not matter where the images are linked from, what matters here is the link. If you are not using the correct link provided by Amazon, then you might as well be wasting your time. Test out those links to be sure they're pointing to the right product page; and not forgetting to use your correct Associate tag so can earn advertising fees on any qualifying sale.

If you follow the above steps and your links are clicked, they should show on your account page.
Finally, try not to mess about with the amazon-provided links until you get the hang of things and know what you are doing.

    Good luck

It may be, I'm not sure.. You need to check this by going to the Amazon policies or completing a search on this..
