I just started using the aStore today. Check out my site, send me a PM, tell me what you think. SupermanShop.net
Looks good. Although I don't think you're allowed to call it the "official" Superman shop w/ permission from the trademark holder. Jenn
This looks pretty promising..I'm going to set up one soon as I get back. I have never really liked associat-o-matic so much..(i don't know why).
"OK. I just set up my embedded store at http://www.bizammo.com/index.php/business_store. On firefox, only the header is showing. On IE, it was showing the top two lines, and then getting cut off. Is it showing up right for anyone else. Is there something screwy in my iframe code? It looks perfectly fine when I preview it in the wysiwyg editor in my cms, so I'm not sure what's wrong." I had this same problem on my site at http://www.hinesvilleonline.net/page.php?2 The height frame cannot have a "%" for some reason, you have to specify without it, such as height="500", not height="100%". I tested your iframe and it works without the "%" in it, the same as with mine. So far I like the idea of having aStore to provide goods that I couldn't do by myself, but the iframes load slowly! Havn't made anything off it just yet though Hope this helps Siafu
ehh you can only have one store ? .... ehh amazon .. .well it is beta hope they let us make more than one huh
Agreed... one store does seem a bit limited. Especially if I would like to direct my store goers to a seperate section of the store from individual pages on my site. Guess I can just link directly to the category link, but havn't tried it yet. Still for other sites, it would be a good feature to have. I'm still finding that the site loads slowly in my iframe. Wish there were a way to speed it up a bit. Guess we can't beat that one? Not sure if I can post this here (let me know), but another program to keep an eye open for is Click-Share. They have an online store (can be made for more than one site) but it's PPC so no need to wait for someone to buy, just browse! (Could be wrong, trying it now). http://www.hinesvilleonline.net/page.php?5 is where my iframe version of it is if you'd like to see what it looks like. I also do not like the fact, though, with Amazon that you cannot search through your entire site for an item on all product categories, as you can do on their main site. Sometimes I'm not sure what category the product is under, you know?
I've been playing with it too... One of the things I don't like is the keywords, you can't do something like "+this -that", or "this OR that", or "that AND that" you can only do "this". So it's kind of limited the way it is right now. But it is really nice looking, and easy to use. I've put one up on one of my sites here: http://www.superstockhemis.com/forums/store.php. Hopefully they'll add more features to it (such as better filtering).
The person who made this shop could at least lower down 4000 pixel height (1100 pixels is good)! BTW, I just set up my shop, just to make my site richer and made it through iframe... (http://www.thefirstpick.com/html/web-shop.htm). I still have some make-up to do but that would be something like it is now...
I just built a test aStore here: Internet Marketing Book Store In doing so I realized some very important things you should be aware of to boost your sales. Here is my latest blog with some good aStore tips. Embed Amazon aStore into Your Site - Tips for Optimizing Revenue Hope these tips help and enjoy building your stores.
I saw the astore today. I didn't know they were new. Looks like something I might play with. I haven't done anything with Amazon before. I've never used I frames either. Can each individual page be optimized?
But that's not an aStore its's your own website with Amazon links - Is this the ONLY way to get sales by buying a domain name and adding a store or can you just build an aStore ?? Thanks Deano
