Is aStore new? If so, how long has the option existed? I only noticed it for the first time today. Looks like a nice concept, but I haven't played with it too much yet. Has anyone worked with it enough to have any feedback to share?

It's new, just noticed it yesterday (my time). Had one set up a couple of hours ago. Fiarly simple, straightforward, seems that you can have only one per associate-ID. Trial store is here.

That's too bad about only being able to do one, since I'm sure a lot of associates use Amazon on a variety of sites. I was planning to set up something manually for my business site, but maybe I'll give this tool a try instead.

I just saw it too. Didn't give it much thought though since its iframe based and doesn't have much chance for ranking in the SEs. Its definitely a good option for those wishing to quickly add a shopping portal to their existing websites.

I'll be sticking with AOM though!

Yeah, well I just wanted a way to organize books and such for the business site I should officially be launching in a couple of days... basically a place to push the books I'll have reviews posted for, in addition to the review page, and maybe a few other resources and such (maybe magazines and software) related to the industry. Hopefully it'll work well enough for that. I wouldn't use it as an affiliate site in itself or anything. But if it's brand new, maybe they play with it some more after getting feedback. :)

Just been over to Associates Central Discussion Board and the aStores samples that members have put up is really something, way beyond what I have imagined could be done. Please visit.

But that's the standard Shop, I would like to see some more advanced Stores. I don't know if this is allowed here but my shop on http://shopping.nurido.at is adapted to my needs. I put some Oxado-Ads (French AdSense alternative) on it to use the available space. It took me 3 minutes ...

http://audrey.er1ca.com/store.html is interesting because of its integrated with headers, footers and background colors.

http://www.expat-web-host.com/shop.html, I'm still loking at it.

someone uses http://www.iwebtool.com/html_encrypter to encrypt the code.

http://www.jp41.com/shop/ is embedded without the side bar

Hope to see more implementation ideas here as well.

    Thanks.

I'll try to play with it this week and see if I can get one embedded into www.BizAmmo.com. I'll need it to cover the variety of categories though, so not sure how I'll do that yet. I'll post here for critique whenever I get a chance. Has anyone set it up here yet? Is it reasonably quick?

John over at DuctTapeMarketing integrated his store into his site using an iFrame and links to an article showing you how. VERY slick! When I 1st saw it ,I expected clicking “add to cart” to take me off his site to Amazon, but by using the iframe it would look to a consumer as if you were buying from his site.

Great post. Thanks. That's actually what I was hoping to do with mine, so I'm glad to see it in action. :)

I assume Amazon's OK with iframes for this???
Been meaning to go over to the AZ forum to see what people are saying.

I'm not an Amazon affiliate but may join now just for this, to put affiliate marketing book store on my site.

Well all of their regular ads are in iframes, aren't they? So why would they have a problem with it?

I've never been an Amazon affiliate so didn't know.
With lots of other programs and networks iframes are a no-no!

Just read the AZ forum and posted my example from above.
So ya iframes are OK with Amazon.

Well if you set one up, just be sure to post the link here. It would be nice seeing how everyone incorporates them into their sites, since it's still new. :)

OK. I just set up my embedded store at http://www.bizammo.com/index.php/business_store.

On firefox, only the header is showing. On IE, it was showing the top two lines, and then getting cut off. Is it showing up right for anyone else. Is there something screwy in my iframe code? It looks perfectly fine when I preview it in the wysiwyg editor in my cms, so I'm not sure what's wrong. :(
