Amazon Associates in the UK, and privacy of members

Hi, does anyone here know anything about the privacy policy of Amazon UK in relation to its associates or affiliates? I've given up trying to get anything out of Amazon customer service - no answer at all or a totally incomprehensible one.

My issue is that I blog anonymously for various privacy and security reasons. I have Google AdSense on my blog and Google were happy to assure me, before I signed up with them, that if I signed up and gave them my real name, bank account details etc for payment purposes:

    1. they would keep my personal details confidential and not give them out unless of course they had to under a court order or some other legal compulsion

    2. my real personal details could not be traced from my Adsense ID number as shown in an affiliate product link in my blog e.g. some public directory linking people's Adsense ID numbers to their real names.

I have asked Amazon for the same confirmation as Google were happy to give, several times, and either they don't bother to respond at all or they don't say anything intelligible in response to what should be simple issues which a lot of people who use a pseudonym online would want to know about purely to protect their own privacy.

If anyone has actually managed to get an answer from Amazon on this or can point me to any Amazon help page on the point which I may have missed (I've tried searching, believe me!), I would be very grateful to hear from you.

    Cheers.
