It helps tho, to have a bank account in the locale you want to operate from. Eliminates the aggro of getting a cheque cut, mailed, then paying currency conversion fees, etc. I've also heard a story that California residents got mailed a check for their final payment, minus $15 for "handling fees", regardless of what your payment option was. Anybody else seen/heard of this being true?
I heard it was only a one-year deal, and dependent upon some sort of 'national sales tax' or something (sounding a lot like VAT) being implemented in Congress. So I wouldn't call it a full-scale return for California affiliates.
Some good news! 1. Amazon to reinstate California affiliates as early as this week 2. Amazon to Relaunch California Associate Accounts
Im lucky, I am not living in California.... If I lived in California, I will use Asia proxy server to register on amazon.com affiliate program, and use gift card as the payment method....
