    Hello guys,

I'd like to know if you guys had any success with Amazon aff program with books.

I'm looking for an online bookseller that is converting well.

The books that i want to promote are History-related.

Thanks in advance for your input!

For books, Amazon is one of the best programs because many people also buy other products unrelated to why you send them there. The problem with Amazon is that the commissions are very low - 5-7% for most affiliates. If you're trying to sell a specific book only, other programs may pay better but if you're simply trying to sell based on "category" such as history, overall Amazon probably is your vendor of choice.

You can also consider AcclaimSubscriptions for magazine subscriptions -- Amazon pays poorly on those. AcclaimSubscriptions.com also offers international orders - shipped worldwide so you can sell to every visitor not just US visitors. There are a number of history-related magazines you can promote that can lead to sizable commissions.

    I hope this helps

I have always thought that it would be quite hard to sell books. If someone wants a book then it is much cheaper to get one out from the local library.

Amazon works really well with books. I am very happy with the results, and it's very easy to reach tier 2 (6 percent) each month. I also use alibris, half.com, textbooks.com and a few other ones, mostly through CJ and clixgalore.

It really depends what kind of books you are looking to sell. There are a lot of cheap books/novels that sell for under 10 dollars, so you are looking at 60 cents per book. Textbooks on the other hand average over 40 dollars usually, so that is around 2.50 a book which isn't bad at all.

    Thank you guys!

It's so difficult to monetize small History sites. Well i just want to make enough to pay yearly registration fees (30-40 dollars for 4 domains) :)

.info domains cost 1 dollar at Godaddy, but renewing them cost me a lot more :)

    Cheers

    Hello here

of course i know about amazone's book affiliate program, but as we know, that are a lot of goodies, except books, which sell amazon. i don't mean 3-rd part sellers, just products/ (cases, bags, computer accessories) that sell amazon.

does their (on amazon) any aff program for this products?

Their affiliate program works for all products (even 3rd party sellers). You make anywhere from 4-7.25 percent). It's fairly easy to get up to 6 % each month.
