Amazon Affiliate Failure

I've been writing a blog for 5 years. I tried using "The Hoth" SEO, Fiverr for SEO, and have even dove in myself to get traffic. I've had marginal success here and there, but the past year has been abysmal. No sales at all, traffic plummeting, and nothing really to speak of with Amazon Affiliate Network.

This is amazon affiliate failure. 800+ posts, no sales. Meanwhile Microsoft Ad Publishing seems to be steady...so I guess that's something. Anyone else seeing marginal failures with AA?

I like your blog as I'm a scary movie fanatic myself. You might want to consider signing up on forums related to horror and drop some sigs. You can find other horror blogs and post comments. You can also promote your blog through social media. It's all about putting yourself out there.

    Hey,

Well, I'm on twitter occasionally, I have 8 other twitter accounts I have to manage, but this takes a little bit of posting here and there: https://twitter.com/scaryfilmreview

I am on facebook and have 400 likes/friends on my profile, and another facebook with 1500 friends: https://www.facebook.com/scaryfilms

I'm also a member of the LAMB (large ass movie bloggers), won the Flixter Golden Popcorn Award in 2011, 2012 for "Best Horror Blog", have given away movies, and more.

I'd say I've put myself out there a lot in the last 5 years, but no major sales, average traffic, 800+ posts, and just not getting much traction.

I haven't signed up for forums, but I guess I could, or hire someone to do that for me, I don't have the time to drop in a lot, I'm a pro-blogger so I have other things to work on too, but Amazon Affiliate sales would be nice. I guess I'll stick with clickbank as my #1.
