Amazon Affiliate Commission Structure On Third Party Sales

    Hi there,

    If I make a referral to a product on Amazon that is neither sold nor shipped by Amazon, does the commission come out as a percentage of the commission Amazon makes off the sale?

    For instance, if Amazon makes 8% of a sale made by a third party via Amazon, would my commission (say 5% depending on volume) be based that margin? Or does that 5% come out of the third party's share, given that I assisted with the sale?

    Then if the product is sold and shipped by Amazon itself, is that 5% based on the cost of the entire sale of the product?
