Say i've managed to get some trusted sites (related to my theme) linking to me....... How long does Google take to adjust SERPS (presuming the sites with my link on are indexed everyday). This may sound silly, but with the the 'Google Bomb' algo update surely Google doesn't take your link into account until x amount of days etc. Anyone have any articles/info on this?
There are a number of aspects to this. Firstly Google do an update of Page Rank for publicity reasons everyday 3 months or around about. However in reality Google will index links much more quickly. For example if you link to a page with a high PR your link could be indexed within a few hours, but links from lower PR sites can take a few weeks or even a month. So it's not easily to predict. On average though you should start to notice a difference within 1 month, but this also depends on the number of back links you have. It's also worth speeding up your own site indexing by uploading a site map via Google Webmaster tools. This site will also help you track your back links. http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools
