It's some jQuery effects (or another base-lib with animation capabilities)...

Bit too detailed for a clone example though..

 

That is a great effect! I don't think iI have seen anything exactly like it. I especially like the bouncing effect.

 

you can do this using open laszlo or other RIA framework
