It was failing the emissions test (I just used the Google tool bar spell check for the first time, that's awesome!). Anyways, they couldn't work out what was wrong with it. So they were trying all sorts of different parts in it, and taking it for a drive to see if they'd made a difference. Whilst out, someone decided to drive into the side of it from a junction and wrote it off. (The mechanics in the car were okay, luckily). Because it was a car without an MOT, the insurance company are just laughing at them (it was technically driven on the garages insurance because they were driving it). So that's that. The Rover 220 we got to replace it is a awesome though, so that's good (and has a Honda engine if I remember correctly).

BTW one of the reason's your posts caught my eye is that I have a sister who spells her name with a "y" rather than an "i". It is not very common.
