It seems to me as if you want us to tell you that: you are wasting your time... well, you are!

If you'll ask me why Am I saying that?
Then the answer is: you need only in between 50 and 100 quality directories to get PR 3 or 4

So again, you are wasting your time on submitting your site to dead in arrival directories
that will disappear from directories seen and take backlinks to your site to land of oblivious

it's depend on your website PR. If your website PR is Zero then it will be useful to you if your site page rank is more then 1 or 2 then think that by submitting page rank zero directory website, means wasting your time

If we assume the PR0 directory is young, is still building it's index and has a quality approach to it's operation. I would say not. All things being equal, getting into a directory early should mean easier access. Additionally your backlinks PR will grow as the PR0 directory gathers PR.

It will not hurt. It might bring you some traffic and the directories might eventually gain some PR.

It's like this, every little helps. It all adds to the link juice. As I've read in this thread before, you never know what the directories will become. I mean if the directories are being run by hardworking webmasters, then they'll be striving to boost the PR of their site anyway, and it's like this, it's free, so what do you have to lose really? Though, I would recommend a bit of blog commenting aswell, just to mix it up a bit.

Like other people have stated, it will probably help you, because one of those PR0 might jump to PR4 etc.

If you have done 600+ directory then you will get good result as the time past..
But C-class IP of these directory should be different, otherwise Google will count it as 1 back link.

You are right that each directory become a big one day. But when no body knows and if directory will not become big or it will be banned than what you will do?

So always use site with good PR.

If your're submitting to thousand of directories then it is impossible for you to write unique titles and descriptions, however you should use maximum possible titles and descriptions. For say 50 titles and 50 descriptions for 1000 or 2000 submissions is fair enough.

Directory Submissions are still well worth the money, however a lot submit the same old description over and over and over again leving Google a nice footprint to pick up.

    For you know it, Spamhammer...

maybe is a waster of time. a high quality backlink is better than 1000 these directories.

No start promoting site in at least PR 3. If you will go for at least PR 4 or 5 you will not get enough sites.

This is one of the smartest pieces of advice I have seen on these boards. PR does not matter if it's a junk directory. Always check. You don't want your backlink crammed between 400 Viagara links!
