Hi there! I have a website where i review films, heres the link -> fillmhammer.com Now, on this website i have movie trailers and stills. My guess is that i'm not aloud to have these, however if you think about it i'm promoting their film anyway, well most of the time Would you say i was breaking any copyright laws? If so, what would be my best course of action to find movie trailers and stills? As i insist on using them for my website. Thanks for your time. i hope my questions isn't ridiculously dumb
theres nothing wrong with it, unless you copied the movie text from somewhere else. youtube wouldnt allow you embed their videos if they werent allowed to be used.
Yeah, that seems obvious now. thanks. how about the images though? Would you suggest me to screen shot my own images or continue using ones i find through search engines?
I would think the images are fine, if you want to be safe, you can add a caption below the image describing it, and saying the studio its copyrighted to (similar to the captions news sites have for their images).
I think unless you got your images from a website saying you can not copy it or post it on your own site then you are pretty much safe.
