I think I may have snookered myself in choosing my niche product. I mean, I know a lot about the general subject (poker), but having trouble writing both my blog and ezine articles for this particular niche. After a couple of blog posts and articles, I'm having difficulty finding things to write about.

How do you guys do it? Any advice?

Read other people's articles and then say the same thing in different words. :)

    I make myself do it.

I decide how many hours will I work and what exactly do I want to accomplish. And then I do it.

If I decide I'll write a sales letter today I'll keep on writing for hours until I finish it.

I'm not always like that though.. The important thing to keep in mind is to never stop improving yourself.

You have to develop discipline and passion for this or you will quit and this will be yet another goal in your life you've failed to succeed at.

    Good advice.

My problem is, never having done this before, is coming off like a cheep carnival sideshow pitch guy. I hated those guys. But I guess this kind of marketing works since it's been with us for as long as someone had something to sell.

Hmm, if I can't figure out something to write about, I'll usually use freekeywords.wordtracker.com or Google's keyword tool to generate some long tail keywords on the topic, and I'll write articles based on those keywords.

I usually have no idea what to write about with my articles until I get a title. I get the titles from keyword research... Once I get a title I can sort of wing it. It's OK to write about the same basic things over and over again but in different ways. Many of my articles go over the same basic points but from different angles.

You can use it for free at:

    http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com

They also offer premium services where you can get more long tail keywords, but the free version above should be enough I guess. :)

set yourself goals for the day, and don't go to bed until you finish them.

don't worry too muhc about how you sound, you'll get better and more refined as you go.

I find google alerts really helps me to get content. It sends me the newest news for the day on that subject, giving me lots of ideas.

I Google Alert for the relevant keywords of my niche and get the latest news/info, and extract/modify/add contents to make my article. Google alert is also useful for any business, be it offline/online. Here's the link http://www.google.com/alerts

Mate, I don't think you are too lazy but I do know that blogging required a lot of work and sometimes if you don't like the topic that you are blogging about, one day you will just decide to move on.

If you don't have any ideas to talk about in your site, go to google and search for “ poker forums”, I am sure you will find some forums where people are asking questions about poker and if you know the answers, just go ahead and blog about them in your site.

You can also google “ poker questions” or ' questions related to poker” when you got your list of questions, just follow the first step above.

When you write a post in your blog, always remember to add up some keywords. I guarantee you that you will get some visitors and later if they trust you, they will start buying what you are selling. Don't just blog for the money, blog for the pleasure of it.

    To answer your second question, here is a list of free keyword tools ;

    - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
    - http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

    Good luck
