While we're on the subject, anyone taking a look at the "OMG-McCain is racist" thread and this post illustrates my point - dishonest crap doesn't come in one color. And I do get really freakin' tired of spending time refuting this kind of crap ad nauseum, over getting down to substantive discussion. If intellectual dishonesty doesn't come in one color, remaining silent while a particular kind of intellectual dishonesty, or one from a particular ideological bent or mind, is being put forth - this is also, in my opinion, intellectual dishonesty. It's all bad for this community, and all bad for getting to the truth of an issue.

Go to sp and post some of that and see what happens. The dp is very lenient and fair. The problem is that some people get to close to the forest to see the trees.
There is a protected group of members here that will never get banned mate, others drop like flys. There needs to be a level playing field here but that ain't going to happen so don't worry about it fella.

I can't help but wonder if this thread was started simply because they tried to tell me what MY post meant last week, and I refused to let them tell me the meaning of what I wrote...but like you, this has come to be expected from the Ron Paul nutjobs...after all, with their fearless leader suffering big time in the polls and the votes, what else do they have to do but complain (and to demand a recount!)?

I let the thread die its natural death to save a lot of folks further embarrassment - myself, for betraying a confidence, yourself, because you were so utterly outed, and the people who voted "yes," knowing otherwise, from having to any further look into, and having to any further deal with, their own conscience in the matter. If you choose to stir it up again, that is your choice. I'm not an RP supporter, or any other blather you'd care to bring up. I think it's just a fact that some are just really tired of the crap and are expressing it as they see it. Most recently, for me, after your imbroglio, it was guru-seo, now gone. If you'll look, you'll see a disparate bunch of people - from all political persuasions - saying, yep, tired of it. There isn't an ideological banner being waved, except, apparently, yours.
