and to further this.. if i search the term "largemouth bass fishing tips" using the "without filters" flaw i get an amazing 2nd place! heck.. with a second place with a search term like that i would be rolling in adsense cash right now :/

the sandbox isn't about doing something wrong, really. you can do all the things "right" (according to the google webmaster guidelines) and still be punished. it's unfortunate but that's the case. the sandbox can also quite literally last years on some sites, if they ever get out at all.

the best ways to cope with the sandbox are

    1) make sites that don't need free SE traffic. a site that has incredible content will almost ALWAYS get far more traffic from word of mouth than from search engine results, with or without the sandbox.

    2) avoid the sandbox with the only surefire way of doing so-- buy old sites that you know rank well and expand upon them to maximize your ROI.

    thanks for the response.

this is frustrating. i spend so much time trying to create a website to help people and google sends me in the sandbox. and yahoo doesnt rank me well either.

    if i type
    largemouth bass fishing tips
in yahoo on the 13th spot www.largemouthbasstips.com/contact.htm shows up.. my home page isnt even listed in the rankings. i dont get it:(

maybe i should pack it in and save the 100 bucks on hosting fees come january.

    anybody else have any ideas???

yes i get great results when i use those tags. how is it possible that i am still in the sandbox. And yahoo is penalizing me for something also... how can i find out what im doing wrong? i didnt do any black hat magic that i know of....

could it possibly be lack of front page content.. the content on my front page is very low. but links are high

zibzer you may not be doing anything wrong, instead it may just be google and yahoo.

I have a website that was created Nov 2005 and indexed in Dec 2005, so it is over 9 months old and has a pr 5, but still in the google sandbox. There are literally sites with much lower pr and links ranking higher than mine. I know I am not doing anything wrong, I've done good seo, add good content with good links pointing to my site. All you can do is be patient, and hope sometime this year you get out of the sandbox.

I wonder if the sandbox is longer now.

I only see 24 links to your website according to msn, not gonna get out of the sandbox with 24 links. (and out of those 24, some are from the same domain as others) basically, you need to get a few hundred times more links.

You also are lacking a fundamental SEO aspect, header tags.
