Good evening , Ok, my site is about 2 months old, it has PR 5 and these are the search engine stats for this month: Am I still in Googles sandbox? I am suspicious because no one ever seems to talk about recieving more traffic from MSN then Google. Does that look like something someone in a sandbox would be seeing as there stats from Google in comparison with MSN? Let me rephrase that -- am I still in sandbox? I greatly appriciate it.
Thanks for the quick reply Well... for MSN I am ranked 30 for a competitive keyword (last week I was 40, I added the keyword in one more alt image on my site and it jumped 10) but for Google I am no where to be seen (aka not in the top 1000) so yeah This is my first site that I have worked so hard on so you can say I am a newb to this (I had one other site but it was just practice for making websites). People always say how Google sends them TONS of visitors, I'm not seeing any of this -- search engines only send me 0.8% of my traffic but I'm not sure if this is because my site is only 2 months old (I said 3 months before but I lied on accedent) so that brings us to my question... So I am wondering -- is this because I'm in the sandbox? Any help on this issue is GREATLY appricieted
The answer is probably but maybe not. Google might just not think its worth ranking your site. Most people in the 'sandbox' just have crap sites. After a couple of years they realise that its not the sandbox after all. Not saying your site is crap just that you can never be sure.
Thanks for the quick reply... Hmmm... must be sandboxed then because my site kicks ass 32% Bookmark my site and people talk about my site, I had 1022 backlinks just this month (maybe 22 of which I got myself) thanks
As google has indexed your website you shouldnt be in the sandbox.. but yep as your website is pretty new (2 months) it will take some time for it to show up in the SERP for competitive keywords. (You can check ur google ranking for lesser competitive kw or mayb ur domain-name to see if you show up in the SERP)
