I have just begun to manage a 6 year old domain name, which receives a lot of type in traffic. It also has a lot of high quality backlinks, which are mainly due to typo errors. I don't think he has built any anchor specific links yet - as the links have been by fluke. My question is, it has some PR6 sites linking to it - but is still a PR0. How do I know if the domain has been banned, or find out what is going on? Will gaining txt specific anchor links also raise PR - or don't I have a chance? I will pm you the address only if you have over 1000 posts - or I can tell that you know what you are talking about. Would really appreciate the help here
Sorry, but I can't do that. With any other site - I would be happy to, but not this one.... EGS checked it out for me, and tells me it has been banned. What do I do now? Just try and work on increasing the CTR and wait? Or is it a permanent ban?
Well if possible try to fix whatever caused the site to be banned. Carefully read and follow everything Matt Cutts says on how to fill a reinclusion request http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/reinclusion-request-howto/ Good luck.
Thank you. EGS - you saw the domain name. Do you think that by doing a redesign, and sending them a reinclusion request would draw any unnecessary attention to it? I don't want my client to lose their domain name due to trademark issues.
Problem has kinda been resolved. It has been banned, and I am in the process of resolving this issue with Google Thanks for your help Minstrel!
your pr will disappear quiukly as it came if it wasn't online for even a couple of days. but it will come back quickly .
