    Hi there.

This is really incredible! I have a new server like 9 days and now it shows that i have used for 9 days 664.8 GB Bandwidth! I have like 1000-2000 visitors per day and not millions!. Is that normal???

That's around 37mb per visitor (18,000) which is a lot, but it depends upon how much of the site they visited and what the site contains - particularly image sizes and/or videos.

Our own web site is around 50MB so if every visitor visited every page, then that sort of traffic would be feasible.

As RonBrown said, it's doable, but indeed odd if your site's content isn't that large.

You also have to consider that it's probably counting any FTP usage when you are updating the site, email usage, etc. I have never used zPanel, but Im guessing those things would be included. It shouldn't just be the http traffic.

Its a forum not streaming site or uploading site. I head before same forums with same users and the usage was 5-10 gb month. One says that can be flood and the other says that can be ddos attack. How can i see from where is comming flood or how can i block ips that are ddosing me?

This is the most possible but requires server access to see what is going on.

Bandwidth usage is not only limited to accessing your website but a lot of other things such as FTP upload/download, sending/receiving of emails and all other features associated with your website.

That's true. With dedicated servers or VPS we monitor traffic at the network port which can be significantly different from the traffic measured via the web site logs.

The 768GB is still a heck of a lot for a forum, and unless it's a very large forum and every page is being parsed by several search engines then it seems excessive. They need to speak to their host to find out what's going on.

If you are talking about thats normal thats not correct! With 1000 users per day thats 30.000 users month. Or 1-2 million pageviews monthly and i need for 9 days 700 gb bandwidth or 2100 GB bandwidth. Common thats not normal. What are doing sites like digitalpoint do thay use 2.000.000 Monthly bandwidth?

No, something seems wrong. I have 5 or 6 domains on a VPS and get about 25-30 thousand visitors a day. My pages don't have a lot of graphics or videos but lots of ajax calls with lots of textual content. Not optimized at all but I'm not getting anywhere near the bandwidth usage you are. I've got Windows updates turned on auto mode on too.

You may need to talk to your server people.
If they can't explain properly, you may need to move to a good hosting company.

That kind of Bandwidth seems abnormal for a forum.
