Am I missing something?! Help me understand!

I feel like I'm missing something in the concept of affiliate marketing. How do I know that my hoplink is synchronizing with google ads? I mean, I set up my campaigns in Google ads, and listed the display URL as the basic website - no affiliate's name in it like my hoplink. How do I know that the hoplink is synchronized with the Google ad so I can actually get credit....

    Thanks!

you need to put your affiliate link in the "Destination URL" box when you create your ad or you can go and edit it in your ad group, for clickbank it needs to be in a format such as "http://vk4etm.rajasika.hop.clickbank.net". this will take the person to the display url but registers your id on the way through.

Thanks so much, mcjp6. I'm correcting all of my campaigns as we speak. That was a $60 mistake! Damn!

you can also MAKE ABSOLUTE SURE that your link is working by following your google ad, clicking the purchase button on the sales letter page, and scrolling down to the bottom of the payment page. your clickbank affiliate nickname should be at the bottom of the page
