I would like to do website maintenance while travelling, but my hosting company does not seem to offer a secure (SSL) method of connecting to Control Panel or secure ftp. That means that anyone sniffing the hotel's wireless network could grab the login credentials to my websites. I would like to install software on one of my un-used domains that would accept an https (SSL) connection from me in a hotel room somewhere, then forward the traffic in http (non-SSL) to my sites' Control Panel (or any other website I wanted to visit, like DP). Is this piece of software called a proxy server? Can someone suggest one for this purpose? Thank you.
