Hi All I being working on my site for a couple of months now, building backlinks (Mainly just from directories) and adding content, optimising pages etc but I have seen no effect on my serps, I have been on page 10 on google for the entire time, just wondering if i'm doing something wrong or if this is perfectly normally and the site will start climbing after more time?? Thanks
2 months is nothing, many sites in your related niche have been around for "years", you can't expect results over night. Continue to do what your doing; results will follow.
Well, You know what all the SEO are running for back links, on that time some are got quantity and some are got quality so may be your competitors are getting more quality links, or there content good compare to yours or you are targeting most competitive keywords there are several reasons so my advice to you just try to get more quality links and update your site regularly
As others say, it takes time. There are very few sites that are overnight success. Most people who brag are full of BS. It does take time and depending on the niche, I have seen sites take a couple of years to really start to bloom. Do what you can and keep working. If you work a little each day and continue to add fresh original content, you will see results.
