Am I in the Sandbox or temp re-org of index?

I ranked very well for a large number of keywords for about 6 months after doing some SEO work. Today I have vanished from almost all my keyword search results. How can tell if this is temporary re-org of google's index or if I have been tossed in the Sandbox?

    Replies are appreciated!

Doesn't sound like the sandbox if it's been 6 months, has this just happened today? I'd give it a few days to see what happens, you might pop back up. Have you been doing anything shady that you think might get you banned? Do a check for your indexed pages site:www.yourdomain.com - to see if you're still there

I am still indexed. I make cahnges/ add links slowly so I can see what actually works. Nothing that I could call shady. Links on discusion boards, directories, exchanging links really pretty basic. My links page has very few links so I don't look like some link factory.

I also do a lot of PPC advertising with negative keyword matches for those keyword phrases that I know I rank high for (or at least did) Would it hurt to tunr off those negative keyword matchs until I re-emerge in the results? I hate to loose traffic if for even for a few days.

OK, for four days I was gone in google and now I am back higher up then ever. That I guess was not the sandbox but it was painful I am glad its over now.

I am experiencing a similar thing. I had some good SERPs positions for some keywords, and then they dropped out completely. The pages are still in google, in fact I have over 1000 pages with google, but google has just chosen not to show these pages in the SERPs. Some of my traffic is still arriving, but it is down by about half.

A similar thing happened in mid december and lasted about a week. Hope this time it fixes itself quicker.

I'm seeing the same thing happen on some client sites.... most sites bounce back higher than before.... it can be stressful though.... google likes to give people a good scare sometimes... :)

The same thing seems to be happening to me... should I just wait for a few days? I have a nice PR 4 website and just recently re-did the website (but I kept the content almost exactly the same).
