Well... I started to send out press releases according to SEOBOYUK advices from this topic

I was hoping to get on Google news with my press release. I simply added the press releases to those sites and now Im wondering if i'm already on Google News.

My press release is about the url in my sig. I found 2 articles while searching on news articles on Google News, so that means I'm on GOogle News?

That's great Pilar, can you possibly post what the traffic increase was after submission. I have been thinking of doing the pr release a for a few of my sites also.

Well, it was not so hard to get in Google news. I released the article yesterday. I think it's important to write a good article.

But what's so special on being published on Google news?

definitely, because a news release are syndicated or re-published in thousands of blogs/news sites you get quick backlinks and possibly PR benefit which i observed for myself. But again your news release must be of quality one and you have post to as many press release sites.:p

Be very careful submitting your Press Release to more than one PR distribution service. It can actually reduce your visibility!

For example, here is how someone can waste $200 on a PR
    Imagine this situation...it happens everyday.

    1. Purchase $200 distribution from PRWeb.com
    2. Submit PR for FREE to pr.com on same day
    3. pr.com gets your PR "picked up" by google before PRWeb.com does.
    4. You just wasted $200 on PRWeb because google will ignore the advance distribution methods of PRWeb.com now that it already has your PR "picked up"

Be careful. You have to pay to play...and make sure that when you do play - you play smart.

If you distribute in multiple outlets, it should always be submitted at the same time... that would be the point of news. If it can wait a day, it's not likely newsworthy enough to be in a release in the first place.

And submitting to multiple sites that end up in Google News doesn't stop any of them from showing up, and won't hurt you. My clients regularly have releases picked up by Google News from multiple press release site if they choose to use them. As a matter of fact, if you upgrade with PRweb to get into emediawire, you'll be listed twice, just b/c of that. If you do both, PRweb most often gets listed first in Google news anyway, so it's not likely to stop anyone from clicking on that particular link, to direct to an upgraded version where you might have live links.
