I recieved this email for Google a few days ago I replied them back telling them that I stopped using auto surfs and asked if they could tell me more about the invalid clicks like where they were coming from. Then I got this. I seriously don't know how to find out where the clicks are coming from. My ads are on www.animeomnitude.com. Is their anything that would generate invalids clicks on it? Atm I only have ads on my swiki and that site.
I don't think you'll be banned but if they see any more breaking of tos from your site they will ban you for sure.
this is friendly fire from adsense. you must remove anything in violating tos of adsense before real fire from adsense.
Adsense accounts are worth a lot to webmasters right now since there aren't many (read any) other good contextual ad networks (hopefully this will change, i.e., YPN opens up to everyone and MSN launches ContentAds). If you think that your account is at risk don't hesitate to remove the code from your site. I would definitely remove the adsense code for a while and install some good traffic stat program and phpadsnew. This way you know where your traffic is coming from and you can get more info about who is clicking on your ads (might be someone that likes your site and thinks that they are helping you by clicking on your ads).
As Daniel said, find a good stats program that can monitor referrer ID's to the pages you have you ads on, and then look up those URLs to see who might be causing it. Are you in any kind of webring or content sharing or network that might be displaying windows of different sites for pay-to incentives?
I used to be in an auto surf program but stopped once google told me it was against tos. My only guess is that they think swiki is having problems which are against tos
When exactly you stoped using autosurf? If you were using autosurf, that creates invalid page impressions. So that is why you were warned. Plus, after you stoped using them (surfing) did you also stop getting traffic from them (did u remove ur URL)?
Hey I am afraind you would get banned. They are serious of what they right. It would be dificult to find hte exact reason from them vide email but yes you can check your own logs and adsense log (if active yet) to see the reason. Unfortunatly the system is such that any of your compititor can get you banned with invalid clicks which is not under your direct control.
I would follow the advice above and run phpadsnew or something to get a better handle on where the clicks are coming from. AdSense is is for decent contextual ads right now, so messing with your account is never a great idea.
i had a similar issue with adsense.. best way is just disabe ads on the site you used autosurfs for. you migth have some credits left in somewhere and they are generating your impressions, which is not good.
Hi, some advice from a rookie. Since google wont tell you where the clicks are coming from, i think its worth removing the adsense code from your site for a few days to let those auto-surf, ensentives fizzle out. you'll loose money but think of it as a sacrifice to save your long term income.
Yes... many people just receive an email telling them they've been kicked out. Consider yourself fortunate that you didn't receive the same!
Looks like this is just a reminder. Lucky you. Don't let it happen again -- that is, if you know what happened. They seem to indicate that you are getting artificial traffic; are you part of any traffic exchange? Do you know enough about "www.animeomnitude.com."? They could be using fake means to generate your clicks in order to trick you into thinking your ad with them is paying off, stuff like that.
LOL Anime Omnitude is my site but for now I still might be recieving bum traffic from those auto surfs even though I closed my account a couple of weeks ago. Hmm for now I'll removed the ads so I don't get banned
Well there you go. You were using an autosurf. If you get banned, you shouldn't complain, because you purposefully (albeit ignorantly) violated the TOS. So re-read the TOS and make sure it doesn't happen again.
