    Hello DP
first let me list what I have done so far

    - 2 weeks ago I created a micro niche site with decent four 1500-3000search longtail keywords
    - webpage has 4x500word articles/internal pages with a few images
    - content is self-written
    - bought .com domain and installed wordpress on mysql
    - adsense theme and all-in-one seo plugin
    - permalinks

    so my SEO starts here

    - added sitemap into google webmaster tools
    - did internal seo and now my page is on google 3rd page with all 4 keywords
    - made ~100 backlinks most of them manually, not sure how many of them are dofollow but I think quite a few
    - posted links on digg,twitter,linkedn,buzz,reddit
    - pinged my profiles on those sites and also pinged about 50 of the backlinks I made earlier
    - posted links on ~50 blogs and maybe ~20 .edu sites (comments&forum profiles)
    - did 5 article submissions (spinned/rewritten) with links to main page and subpages

    so
this seo was all about a week ago and my problem is that I see 0 backlinks when I type link:mydomain on google. backlinkwatch site also says I have 0 backlinks.
I have about 20 pages indexed in google for this domain. many pages say that my site is unranked.
webpage is still sitting at the same 3rd page with only internal-seo

    here are my questions

    am I doing something wrong?
why am I seeing no backlinks?
is there still something I should do?

No, it seems that you are following the right part. You need to have some patience because Google should have an "aging" filter. In Google's eyes, the older the age of the domain, the greater reputation it may have.

The only other suggestion I can give you is make use of article marketing and guest posting in blogs of you niche.
