I have sold a banner advertisement at my teen forums.

This is the banner image : -

Is this wrong banner and should not be on my site? I use Google Adsense on my site.

It is in rotation with other banners. Since this is an image and external link, is it wrong?

It doesnt look like I am asking to click on my site ads aswell.

Will I get banned by google adsense because of this? Please Help!

I don't think it's conflicting with Adsense. It doesn't say "Click on my Google Ads". It would be wrong if it would encourage the user to click on your Google ads.

I disagree, this is a site that gives incentives to click on ads, which is a violation of the terms of service.

Regardless your advertising incentive to click ad banners, which can be taken that clicking your ads will make them money. Also, a lot of the sub-forums have topics that are violations of the TOS.

Excellent then, you should be all set. I would contact them about the banner just in case, I'm just trying to look out for other respectable publishers :)

You can sell text links if you use the ref="nofollow" tag in the hyperlink code (example below), this prevents the link being counted as a vote and prevents pagerank from being passed on.

    <a href="http://www.yoursite.com" ref="nofollow">Anchor Text</a>

    Code (markup):

Personally, I do not see any problems with displaying this banner. But it might take you quite some long time to reinstate your account after it gets banned by Google if they would see it differently. Just to be on a safe side, email google and ask this question. That is what I would do.

the best advice would be.don't put others useless ads. Your forum has now been much better than before ,last time i visited and joined your forum it was all ads and bad layouts now it looks professional.

i guess you don't need to put any such useless ads you can do much better with adsense ,and you can put related ads with your site.

Mayank . Instead of asking us . Why dont you go ahead and contact Google'e support for more details about the terms and conditions about the banner which you have sold.

Humans working for Google can read the banner. This is not the correct way to look @ things since the AdSense team does reviews before payment. Now I'm sure they don't look through every site online that uses AdSense, but it'll eventually catch up to you if you are doing something wrong.
