I'm new to th ad words side of google and I'm a little confused.

I created a new campaign, set the languages and target area, Default Bid to $0.10 and budget to $5.00 per day.

It says active, however its been sitting here for 2 days and nothing has happened.

Are people just not clicking my ads?

You should be able to tell if you ad is being shown by looking at the 'impressions'.

If you are receiving impressions, but no clicks, then your account is active, but your ads aren't generating enough interest to receive clicks.

If you see that you've received no impressions, then there is an issue with your account not being 'live'. Is the account funded? Do you have ads and keywords that have been approved?

Look under the "Keywords" tab in the "status" column. You may find most of your keywords show, "Inactive for search Increase quality or bid $5.00 to activate".

Even if they are all marked as such... you should still be able to get clicks from the "content" network... which always (for me) seems to take days for impressions to get started.

If all of your keywords are active and everything looks fine, there must be some kind of problem with your account. Contact Adwords.

If you bought one of those $50 activated accounts, then it's probably banned.

My advice: create one normal account for yourself and don't waste your time on buying *cheap* accounts.

I said probably, I am not sure. I said that, because many people here created threads about this $50 accounts and they were saying that the accounts are not working.
