Am I doing something wrong?

Hey everyone,

I recently started a health blog and put adsense in it. It's only about a week and a half old, but so far I've only made a few dollars (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to state my earnings because of the TOS. I get on average 60-70 visitors a day, and I'm wondering if this is normal for such a new blog.

Can some people tell me what to do to earn more? (besides traffic)

For a 1.5 week old blog, 60-70/day is actually really good. That's not enough time to gather stats though. Give it another week. If it is still performing poorly, your keywords are probably low payers. Also filter some sites using competitive ad filter.

It is OK to state your earnings but not too detailed. Look around this forum for some good examples. Displaying one's check is not that wise I think.

 

Take your time, 1.5 weeks is too early for assessment.

You should check the ctr, is it very low ? then consider your ad placement.

 

well i would rate your blog after few months ,1.5 weeks is too young btw 60/70 uniques is good

 

Yes, its normal and you're going well.
Concentrate on your content because it's a new site and you have to build a large reader base.
Furthermore Google loves original content and you will get a lot of traffic from SE.
