Am I doing something wrong?

I am wondering is there something wrong that I am doing for SEO? I would like the gurus to have a look at my site. Why I am not ranking anywhere in Google, Yahoo for my main keywords?

    My site URL is http://toronto.eclassifieds4u.com/main

Main Keyword : Free Toronto Classifieds

Site started in end of June 06

I am wondering if I would need more links in order to be there in the SEs or what should I do? It is turning out to be sort of frustrating that I am not ranking for this keyword but ranking for some weird keywords which give me few uniques.

    Thanks,

I would like to suggest a couple of things - dint get to study your site in detail but here are my suggestions :

    1) Use your title discretely - its too long with unnecessary words.
    2) Your META KW : doesnt have " free toronto classifieds " as a KW
    3) I am not sure why you have a redirect on the page - thats worth a thought from you.
    4) I dont see any links to the site except for your signature link.

Hope that helps you - If it does - how about a green rep... lol

Nope - backlinks don't have much to do with SERPS, they are more relevant to PR. On page optimisation is required to rank well for keywords.

    Hi,

I have had great luck using the keyword in an <h1> tag early on the page, then in a link usually somewhere in the first paragraph, and a few times (not links or tags) lower in the page.

Your page is very linky, not a lot of text to optimize, and you will need to look at competitors who rank where you want to be.

Your site's header tags were pretty different from the top sites I found for Classified Ads, they used 'Classified Ads for:... and then a long list, 'apartments', 'cars', etc.

    Be$t of luck!
