    Hi All,

Can you please let me know if im doing my keyword research correctly, im trying to get into it, but if i start off wrong i guess i'll never succeed. I've been reading up on these forums for the past few hours so here's what i came up with so far:

    1) Think up a keyword you want to build content around
    2) Go to Google Adwords Keyword Research website: https://adwords.google.com/o/Target...&__u=6911764856&ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_IDEAS
    3) Type in your keyword and search using default settings for ideas
    4) Find a keyword that has over 2,000 global monthly searches and low competition
    5) do an EXACT match on the keyword again and make sure your keyword has around 2000-3000 exact matches in global monthly search (low competition)
    6) Type the keyword into google with quotations to get exact search results (try to stay below 60-70,000 results or else it may be hard to compete)

    Does this sound about right?

Anyway the keyword i was thinking of using has:

5,361 results when searching in google with quotations
448,000 results without quatiotions in google
has 210 global monthly searches in adwords research tool - EXACT (low competition)
has 49,500 global monthly searches in adwords research tool - BROAD (medium competition)

Is this a good keyword to go for?

Am i on the right track or are the steps wrong?

    Thank You!

Sounds about right, with low competition and exact matches.
