I bought a domain through Yola.com a few years ago, and used their free web hosting. To get more theme design flexibility, I've now re-created the site using Wordpress via Page.ly. But I'm running into obstacles getting my domain over to the new site . . . My new web theme master says he needs my domain registrar, username and password to set me up on his Wordpress. Is this true? Does he really need access at this level to take my WP site live? Yola is stalling about giving me the domain registrar, username and password -- claiming they have a bug in the system right now. (Note: I noticed others using Yola have written their forum in frustration about how long it takes them to give you total access to your domain.) Can somebody tell me: 1. Is it possible to take my new WP site live just by changing the DNS stuff on my Yola account? 2. Are both of these people just trying to get/keep control of my domain, to keep me paying them? 3. Should I just buy a new domain where I have total control, so I can get the new WP live ASAP? Thanks!
